How does the Dish Network dual tuner work?

I heard your receivers operate two TVs, how does that work?

DISH Network offers receivers that can operate two TVs all from one physical box (receiver). These are called multi-room dual tuners (dual tuners, or duo for short).Both TVs get their own remote control and can be watching separate channels at the same time.The physical receiver is located near the primary TV. In the diagram to the right, that is TV (A). TV (B) is connected to the receiver via standard coaxial cables (run through the attic, basement, walls, etc …)

 

How does the HD Dual Tuner receiver work?

These are called multi-room HD dual tuners (HD dual tuners, or HD duo for short).Both TVs get their own remote control and can be watching separate channels at the same time.The HD Dual Tuners send an HD signal to TV (A) and an SD signal to TV (B). The physical receiver is located near the primary HDTV. TV (B) is connected to the receiver via standard coaxial cables (run through the attic, basement, walls, etc …)
